Outreachy 2025

Fedora is currently participating in the Summer Outreachy round, with 3 interns contributing to projects centered on documentation, community tools, and DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion).

The interns are actively collaborating with mentors and Fedora teams via GitLab, Matrix, and regular check-ins. Final outcomes will be documented as the session progresses, with highlights shared in Fedora community channels.

Cornelius Emase

Project Title: Docs, DEI & Community Contributions

Description: Cornelius is working across Fedora Docs and the DEI team to improve contributor experience, create inclusive organizing checklists, and support regional community needs. Key work includes:

  • Creating a Fedora inclusive event organizing checklist for physical/in-person events in Fedora Docs

  • Auditing DEI team documentation, triaging needed changes, and opening improvement issues

  • Supporting DEI initiatives and regional contributor onboarding through events and documentation

Project Title: Release Schedule Planner

Description: Antony is contributing to tooling around Fedora’s release management by helping design and document a release schedule planner tool for the community and Fedora QA teams.
