Cambios notables para los usuarios de sobremesas
Fedora now reserves resources for active user on Workstation
With this enhancement, Fedora adds cgroup
based resource protections for
the active graphical session. For this, the system performs the following
steps:
-
Passes a memory protection of 250MiB to the active users, that is limited at 10% of system memory.
-
Enables other cgroup controllers such as CPU, IO, between others.
This ensures that important session processes get the required resources. As
a result, it improves interactivity of graphical sessions in certain
situations. It also takes advantage of the benefits of systemd
and
cgroups
in workstation scenarios.
