Release Go SOP

This document outlines the procedure for when a release is declared "go".

  1. Update the Product Pages status

  2. For Final releases only, update Product Pages to set the phase to "Launch" (Set this to "Maintenance" on release day)

  3. Send an announcement email similar to the below to logistics@lists.fedoraproject.org, devel-announce@lists.fedoraproject.org, test-announce@lists.fedoraproject.org, rel-eng@lists.fedoraproject.org.

  4. Update the dates in the report and office hours files.

  5. Notify the Websites & Apps team to ensure they’re ready for websites changes.

Release announcement email

The Fedora Linux <VERSION> <MILESTONE> RC<CANDIDATE> compose is GO and will be shipped live on Tuesday,<DATE>.

For the Beta release announcement, include the date that the Final freeze starts.
