Where to find the Fedora Marketing team:

The best way to find and contact the Marketing team is on Matrix/Element or by opening a ticket on GitLab.

Get involved with the Marketing Team:

  • Are you willing to enhance Fedora Projects Marketing initiatives?

  • Have you tuned into any of our Marketing meetings?

  • Have you opened up a ticket on our Gitlab?

If you said YES to one or more points above, you are at the right place! Our team always looks forward to working with folks from diverse backgrounds.

Ask us in our Matrix room how to join the team!

Does your team need extra marketing help?

  • Open a ticket in our GitLab

    • Title must include: (Team Name) Marketing Ask

    • Description: Tell us what your team does and who your team leaders are

      • What is your team looking for?

        • More Contributors?

        • Capture more attention?

    • Provide a point of contact (Matrix/IRC handle or Email)

  • Marketing Team will review tickets in meetings, if it is more urgent alert us know in our Matrix Channel that you have opened a ticket

Social Media Posts:

  • Open ticket on our Marketing Team planning repo on Gitlab:

    • Issue name must include Month/Day then title of Social Media post

      • EX: 10/29 EPEL Campaign Post

    • The ticket Description:

      • Purpose of ticket

      • Any art ideas for the post

      • Potential Caption idea

Feedback from official Marketing Team Members must be provided before accepted to post

Marketing Meetings:

  • Meetings will be help once every 2 weeks (Check the Marketing Calendar for updated meetings)

    • Video Meetings on Jitsi

    • Recorded and posted on Peertube

    • Audio and Video is not required to join the meeting (you can always use the chat for input)

  • Meeting Notes:

    • Will be held in the Marketing HackMD

    • Meeting leader will then post on Discourse for community to provide transperancy to our community
