OpenShift Origin 3.11
The OpenShift packages in Fedora 29 have been rebased to upstream version 3.11. At the same time, a set of infrastructure container images is now also being provied by Fedora, allowing you to run an OpenShift Origin cluster top to bottom based on the Fedora distribution, without using any upstream-built images.
Note that the upgrade path from version 3.9 (which was provided in Fedora 28) to 3.10 or 3.11 is not covered by this change, and a
dnf upgrade is unlikely to cleanly update an Origin cluster. Ansible playbooks provided by upstream are on GitHub (3.9 to 3.10, 3.10 to 3.11).
Kubernetes packages in Fedora 29 are modularized, allowing Fedora Project to provide multiple versions. See the Modularity chapter for details.
