Stalled EPEL Package

Description

There are times that an EPEL / Fedora package maintainer is not responding to an EPEL package request. If a different packager would like to build and maintain that package in EPEL, they can file a ticket with Release Engineering requesting appropriate privileges to be able to branch and build that package in EPEL-X. This ticket must include a link to the Bugzilla request and mention the original maintainer’s FAS account name.

Actions

  1. Verify that the stalled package policy was followed by looking at the Bugzilla ticket.

  2. Find the package on dist-git.

  3. Go to Settings → Users & Groups.

  4. Click on add user.

  5. Type in the requestor’s username, select collaborator from the drop-down menu, and put epel* in the A comma separated list of branches field.

  6. Navigate back to the package’s home page.

  7. At the bottom left, set the requestor as the default Bugzilla Assignee for EPEL.
