Where to find Fedora Docs team

The Fedora Docs team uses the following communication platforms:

Discussion forum

Fedora Discussion (also replaces the old mailing list)

IRC channel

#fedora-docs on Libera IRC

Matrix room

#docs:fedora.im

We track meta-work in the docs-fp-o repo.

The Discussion forum is best for asynchronous communication. This means it is best for questions or topics that someone may respond to later. It is better for longer, threaded discussions.

The Fedora Docs IRC and Matrix channels are bridged together. They are best for synchronous communication. This means it is best for quick feedback, like a conversation. It is helpful for real-time discussions or getting someone’s attention.

First time using IRC? Look into Element (formerly Riot), a free and open source client that is compatible with various IRC networks. Element also keeps you connected to IRC even when you are not connected to the Internet.

Meeting format

The Docs Project currently holds weekly meetings on IRC/Telegram/Matrix. See section above for how to join. Current meeting times are displayed in the docs calendar.

The structure of the meetings is described on the Meetings page.
